I began my legal career as a law clerk at one of the nation’s top whistleblower and employment law firms. Today, I’m recognized as one of Maryland’s "most influential and respected" employment lawyers and act as the Executive Director & General Counsel or the Employment Law Center of Maryland.* But that leadership role keeps me mostly out of the courtroom. I founded Fortis Employment Law as my part-time private practice to stay directly involved in representing Maryland employees in wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, and hostile work environment cases.
